* Where are they located?
Compliance Plate: These are usually found in the car’s engine bay, door pillar or footwell. It will include the words “manufactured to comply with” to show that it complies with Australian standards.
VIN Plate: All vehicles since 1989 have VIN and boats since 2001. Vin Plates are usually located under the bonnet, at the bottom of the windscreen, or along the driver’s side door closure area. A HIN plate is located on a metal plate on the transom or on the hull.
PIN Plate: Usually located on the front frame or the chassis.
